NZSS 2008 AGM details

Well its time to register for the NZSS AGM in October. Please read the info below and fill out the form to indicate your interest.

Cost and meals

HTG has decided to keep the AGM registration process really simple. There will be a flat rate for the weekend of $75/ adult | $35/child (under 12) | under 6 free. NB. If circumstances arise that prevent you from getting to any of the events you have paid for, please let us know and we can work something out money wise! The AGM fee will cover the following:

• Registration
• Friday night wine and cheese evening (7pm at Museum, Waitomo Village)
• Saturday night AGM dinner + transport home from venue
• Sunday night ASG BBQ dinner (BYO drinks)
• Tea / Coffee over weekend

Breakfasts and lunches are your responsibility.

Accommodation

Some accommodation is available at HTG’s luxurious and well kept hut. Please indicate below if you would like to stay at HTG. Cost is $4 per night, per person. There is limited space to put tents up around the hut if you wish. Other accommodation options include: ASG Hut, Waitomo Top 10 Holiday Park (07-8787639) etc…

Rough Itinerary

Friday 24th Oct

Arrival / Registration / Wine and Cheese evening

This will be held at the HTG Hut from 6:00 pm onwards, there will be a few drinks and nibbles on offer and a good chance to catch up with fellow cavers.

Saturday 25th

Caving!!!! – There will be a number of trips on offer, some examples are –

• Thunderfall
• Gardners Gut Exit 7 to Downstream
• Pukeroa
• Luckie Strike
• Catherwoods
• Matthews
• Waipuna
• Ruakuri – (subject to change)
• Millars waterfall

As there are so many caves to choose from, I’d like to know if there are any particular caves people want to do, especially for those travelling up from the south island, so I’ve left a space in the form below if you want to suggest any cave in particular.

NZSS Council meeting will start at 9:00 in the Education room at the Museum.

NZSS AGM Will be held in Aranui Cave (subject to change). Attendees for the AGM will need to be assembled at the Ruakuri car park at 6:00 pm sharp!!

Dinner

this will start at 7:00 pm at the BWR café. We will be having a buffet dinner with some vegetarian options. There will be transport available from BWR Cafe to HTG/ASG/Waitomo village for those want it after the meal.

Sunday 26th

Caving!!!!

6:00 pm - ASG Hosted BBQ at the ASG Hut

Monday 27th

Caving!!!!

Registration and payment should be made by Friday 10th October at the latest.

Please return the registration form with cheques made payable to Hamilton Tomo Group to HTG P.O Box 11 Hamilton or email to agm@htg.org.nz and pay by internet deposit to account number 02-0410-0075507-097 with your name as a reference.
